Most memorable performance with the ESO

Beethoven’s 9th Symphony was certainly the most dramatic, but I’m looking forward to the Verdi Requiem later this year.

Favorite ESO soloist

Mark O’Connor – In some rehearsals I could see him strumming his fiddle even when he wasn’t playing. He seemed to truly be enjoying himself up there.

Why I like playing with the ESO

It’s a wonderful community orchestra with very good musicians. It really challenges me to play my best.

Favorite composer or piece

I like nearly anything by Tchaikovsky, or most all of the Russians.

When I’m not playing with the ESO, I’m…

Reading, playing soccer, playing in a “dad band” called East of Edens.

Something most people don’t know about me

For the last few years, I’ve been acting in plays with my kids, including FDR in “Annie” and the mute King Sextimus in “Once Upon a Mattress.”
