Most memorable performance with the ESO

I really enjoyed playing Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2. It’s one of the most difficult pieces I’ve ever played, but so beautiful.

Favorite ESO soloist

I look forward to all of the soloists, however, I especially love hearing Wendy Warner playing cello with the ESO.

Why I like playing with the ESO

I love the programming and the commitment of all the members of the orchestra.

It is impossible for me to pick a favorite composer. There is so much fantastic music out there.

When I’m not playing with the ESO, I’m…

I teach private lessons and at Niles West High School, play chamber music gigs, direct a local children’s choir, and play ice hockey with a ­
co-ed league. My husband and I also have two wonderful teenagers who bring us a great deal of joy.

Something most people don’t know about me

When I was 16 years old, I was in a very serious boating accident in the Bermuda Triangle. My family and I were rescued by the Coast Guard and are lucky to be alive today.
