Most memorable performance with the ESO

I love playing the classics like Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Brahms. Honestly, I also get a kick out of playing for the children and families at our annual holiday concert, it’s so much fun!

Why I like playing with the ESO

I like being exposed to new music and learning the classics. It’s also a nice break from my usual routine and a great way to keep playing. I feel lucky to be part of the ESO family and have been impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the group.

Favorite composer or piece

Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms are my favorite composers. The Mozart Clarinet Concerto in A, K. 622; the “Emperor” Piano Concerto by Beethoven and the Brahms Violin Concerto are among my all-time favorite pieces. Can I add that I love the White Stripes?

You’ll find me designing creative outdoor environments as a landscape architect with Scott Byron & Co. or spending as much time as I can with my husband, Brent, and daughters Emma (3) and Avery (6 months).

Something most people don’t know about me

I’m originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and started with Suzuki when I was young. My hobbies outside of music include photography, travel, dance and (never-ending) household projects. And I am NOT related to Sevcik the influential music pedagogue.
