Most memorable performance with the ESO
Performing the Illinois premiere of Chasing Light by Joseph Schwantner. A fascinating work that was exciting to perform!
Favorite ESO soloist
Pianist Christopher O’Reilly, violinist Bella Hristova and cellist Wendy Warner.
Why I like playing with the ESO
The opportunity to rehearse and perform great music with musicians I enjoy who are united with the common goal of performing every detail with beauty, consistency and excellence. Practicing and performing with the ESO is challenging, daunting and exhilarating.
Favorite composer or piece
Schwantner’s Chasing Light, Beethoven Violin Concerto, Schumann 4th Symphony, Dvořák Cello Concerto, to name a few!
When I’m not playing with the ESO, I’m…
I organize, conduct, and teach tennis programs for multiple Chicago suburban communities and also some private day schools. I continue to enjoy helping others get fit, improve, and enjoy tennis. I also coach my son, a USTA ranked Chicago and Midwest junior tennis player, and spend time with my college age daughter (when’s she home) and wife. I also enjoy exercising, going to concerts and listening to music, especially jazz.
Something most people don’t know about me
Before moving to Chicago, I worked at a well known California tennis resort. I taught and played tennis with a number of celebrities including Merv Griffin, Carl and Estelle Reiner, Arthur and Katherine Murray and Byrne Piven.
