Most memorable performance with the ESO

Our collaboration with the Chicago Chamber Choir in 2012 playing Lux Aeterna by Morten Lauridsen. It has a beautiful cello solo with the voices, which I was fortunate to play in the Northbrook concert we also performed.

Favorite ESO soloist

Cellist Wendy Warner, of course!

Why I like playing with the ESO

I like the repertoire our director chooses, and playing music with friends is very satisfying.

Favorite composer or piece

There are so many, but I'll have to choose: Bach's Chaconne from the Partita No. 2 for Violin. Close second: the Prelude to Bach's Fifth Suite for Cello Solo.

When I’m not playing with the ESO, I’m…

My husband and I like to travel to places where we can hike all day in the mountains.

Something most people don’t know about me

I am a certified music braille transcriber. Working as volunteer or freelance, I transcribe print music into braille so that musicians who are blind can read music independently.
